Our Voices Climate Justice Webinar

BSD

The Paris climate talks may be behind us, but our work has only just begun. Now we need to make sure that the ambition of the Paris Agreement turns into genuine action to protect our planet and our future.

What better person to talk us through next steps, and how as faith communities we can have impact than one of the UN’s top people on climate – Daniele Violettie, who is the Chief of Staff of the United Nations Framework on Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Daniele will be joining us for a webinar on Thursday 18 February at 1PM GMT.

As a community we have a real power to continue to push for progress on climate in 2016 and beyond, but it’s vital we know what we’re up against.

Along with Daniele’s intelligence from inside the UN we’ll also be hearing from leaders from across the faith community, giving updates on their plans for the coming year. They include myself speaking about GreenFaith’s plans, Tomas Insua – Global Coordinator of the Global Catholic Climate Movement (GCCM), Sister True Dedication of Plum Village, Lotifa Belgum – Global Advocacy Campaigns Coordinator of the Islamic Relief Worldwide and a representative from the International Network of Engaged Buddhists (INEB).

I’m really excited to be bringing together such an incredible group of leaders as the crucial point in time. This is an great opportunity for all of us to equip ourselves for the work ahead.

Many thanks,

Rev. Fletcher Harper
