Elevate the Vote with Meditation Flash Mobs

[Editor: An interesting response to the tension of the US election.}
Join us as we Elevate the Vote

Tomorrow, 11/8, Aryaloka sangha members will be participating in Elevate the Vote’s meditation flash mob. This is a nationwide synchronized event, taking place at polling places across the country. It is intended to bring inner and outer peace during the height of this emotionally fraught election season.

Meet us outside Newmarket High School, 243 South Main Street just before 6 pm. At 6 pm we will join the synchronized meditation. If you can only join us for a portion of that time, no problem! Just enter and leave the meditation area quietly, and stay for however long you can.

Look for the Elevate the Vote signs and bring something to sit on. Because this is a non-partisan event we will not be displaying literature or signs supporting any particular candidate.

If you do not live close enough to Newmarket to join in with us tomorrow, check  Elevate the Vote’s website for other locations.

From Elevate the Vote’s website:

The US is a diverse nation with extreme differences. Our democracy is not perfect. And neither are we.

This mass meditation is an opportunity for us to come together and heal the divisiveness, showing the world and our children what is possible with inner peace, respect, and unity.
Our collective action makes a statement. It can change everything.
People will notice. Minds will change. Hearts will open. The world will be different.
We know it is only a matter of time before our political systems transform. Humanity is heading towards an enlightened society and every person, being, and system is transforming from the inside out.
May this mass meditation be a step forward for all of us.  For all of humanity.”
